Hello, I am a freelance illustrator based in England. I’ve worked extensively in the publishing, design and editorial worlds for over twenty years, first as a packaging designer, before concentrating on illustration over twelve years ago. Using both traditional and digital mediums and often a fusion of the two, I create maps and travel inspired illustrations for a range of clients.
I have a passion for gardens and plants and studied garden design at The Chelsea Physic Garden with the English Gardening School. A knowledge of plants has helped me build a portfolio of nature inspired illustrations for Gardeners’ World, Homes & Gardens and The Telegraph. Highlights include visuals for a floral display on the royal barge for The Queens Diamond Jubilee Pageant, designed by Rachel de Thame. Also, creating a garden plan for Monty Dons garden, this time for the Gardeners’ World magazine. Illustrating planting plans for Joe Swifts GW articles on planting and Illustrating Toby Buckland Flowers book followed as well as creating over 100 watercolour paintings for the Storey Publishing book Design Your Garden Toolkit.

"Scott has created illustrations for me for about 12 years now and they are still one of my favourite things about the look of Sunday Times Travel Magazine.
One of my favourite things at work is seeing an illustration arrive in my inbox and wondering what Scott has come up with this time. I'm yet to be disappointed.
I know that I can always rely on Scott to produce innovative, accurate illustrations which is such a boon for a busy art director. He always produces really great work on time, often before deadline, and is a pleasure to work with. I can't recommend him highly enough."
